The Critique
This week's lecture began with underlining the importance of fully understanding a client's needs based upon the briefing given and the information supplied.
We began the session by looking at the material our client - Garvan Traynor - had supplied and identifying possible design solutions this information might shape. Upon recapping what had been covered in the briefing session we identified some fundamental design decisions that might be suggested from the material supplied.
We followed this with a critique, taking a number of students' proposed solutions and weighing up their respective pros and cons. Though we only had time to focus on a random selection of students' proposed solutions we identified general principles that everyone could learn from, offering a suggested route forward for all students.
