Layout and Design
This week will be a very special guest lecture from The Standardistas looking at layout and design. Using the methods that we covered last week to gather content and assess the navigation, we will now look at developing the site from sketch to comprehensive layout, looking at wireframes, layout, grids & more.
Lab session as normal
The lab session will take place as usual this Wednesday, despite the planned industrial action.
We understand that many of you rely on the bus or train to get into university and therefore will not be able to make it due to the Translink strike. We will do our best to facilitate any requests for support via email for anyone who cannot attend the lab and we will set aside time at the end of the lecture on Friday, to answer any questions.
Homework 3.1
Taking what we covered in last week's lecture (a review copy is available from the assets below) regarding gathering and prioritising our content, we are now asking you to create a content audit, site map and define your choice of navigation for your new portfolio website.
You must present this homework as a single HTML page and include both sketches and the final recommendations for each of the deliverables. You should use CSS to style and position elements on the page as you deem appropriate.
