Crit - Personal Identity
This week's lecture will be a Crit session where specific feedback will be given highlighting exemplary work and denoting potential areas of improvement to enable students to revise project work prior to final submission.
Your work (2.1, 2.2 & 2.3) must be presented using the supplied templates (available from week 5) and linked from the homework’s webpage on your student portfolio website as both a JPEG and AI (Illustrator file) by 8am on Friday 18th November.
Homework 2.3 - Icon
For the final homework we are asking you to develop an icon in Adobe Illustrator. You should begin by looking at how other web designers such as Dan Cederholm, Shaun Inman, Meagan Fisher etc use icons as part of their brand.
Your work must be presented using the supplied templates that should be embedded (as JPEGs) within a HTML page called homework2.3.html or icon.html and linked from the homework’s webpage on your student portfolio website. Within this page you must also provide a link to your AI (Illustrator file).
Your icon must work in both colour and black and white and be legible at the varying sizes laid out within the templates, so some refinement may be required to ensure clarity at smaller sizes.
You are first required to produce at least an A4 page full of sketches and evidence this in your creative experimentation before developing your chosen icon in Illustrator. Feedback with your peers is also encouraged and the outcome of this can be discussed in your research diary.
