Build Conference
Due to staff and student participation at Build Conference, there will be no formal labs or lecture this week. The labs will still be available for you to use and continue your work, but no members of staff will be present. Support is available via email and normal service will resume again in Week 8.
Homework 2.2 - Wordmark
Carrying on from your monogram, this week we are asking you to develop a wordmark in Adobe Illustrator using your forename and surname. You can also use your middle name(s) if applicable.
Your work must be presented using the supplied templates that should be embedded (as JPEGs) within a HTML page called homework2.2.html or wordmark.html and linked from the homeworkâs webpage on your student portfolio website. Within this page you must also provide a link to your AI (Illustrator file).
Your wordmark must work in both colour and black and white and be legible at the varying sizes laid out within the templates, so some refinement may be required to ensure clarity at smaller sizes.
You are first required to produce at least an A4 page full of sketches and evidence this in your creative experimentation before developing your chosen wordmark in Illustrator. Feedback with your peers is also encouraged and the outcome of this can be discussed in your research diary.
