A Typographic-Iconographic Approach
This week's lecture will look at both the typographic and iconographic approaches to design.
Homework 2.1 - Monogram
Carrying on from the week 5 lecture, we are asking you to develop a Monogram in Adobe Illustrator using only your initials.
Your work must be presented using the supplied templates that should be embedded (as JPEGs) within a HTML page called homework2.1.html or monogram.html and linked from the homeworkâs webpage on your student portfolio website. Within this page you must also provide a link to your AI (Illustrator file).
Your monogram must work in both colour and black and white and be legible at the varying sizes laid out within the templates, so some refinement may be required to ensure clarity at smaller sizes.
You are first required to produce at least an A4 page full of sketches and evidence this in your creative experimentation before developing your chosen monogram in Illustrator. Feedback with your peers is also encouraged and the outcome of this can be discussed in your research diary.
