Design Specification Part 2
Homework 2.3 - Design Specification Part 2
The next homework will follow on from Homework 2.2 and will consist of the following deliverables:
Functionality - The last lecture looked at functionality in its broadest terms and reviewed the 'features' that the client has suggested. Functionality referes to how your site will function rather than its technical capabilities. Discuss as a group and produce a short functionality list e.g. 'Ability to automatically post notifications to social networking sites when a new blog is posted' or 'Members login area for obtaining additional information'.
Wireframes - Discuss as a team the best layout for your group website. You should already have settled on some design decisions like the location and type of navigation, positioning of logo etc. Individual contributions should be evidenced with sketches etc in your individual creative experimentation.
Visual Comps - Each member of your team should mock-up at least 2 different pages e.g. homepage & about page. You can use your favorite graphics package to produce these and make sure you link these from both your team space and your individual homework page. The colour of the site should tie into the brand guidelines your team developed for Homework 2.1.
