Brand Identity

This weeks lecture concentrated on the differences between a logo and a brand, we covered shapes and their symbolic meaning and looked a little at colour theory.

Political and national significance of symbolism is vital when countries, companies and individuals wish to associate themselves to a particular country. On these occasions the colours from that countries national flag are usually used as part of this national identification. Where there is conflict, such as Northern Ireland, certain colour combinations can be problematic, especially if the company or organisation wishes to reach out to the whole community.
