Design Approaches
This week looked at different approaches to problem solving. A PDF of the material presented can be found below. We also showed a series of links to companies to specialise in brand design a development. Make sure you research a number of these (if not all) and include your thoughts in your Research Diary.
Wax on wax off
It's all about learning and understanding the basics before you can confidently break the rules.
Today's musical interlude was brought to you from Jon Gomm
In Jons words:
This song is about I plant a grew in my 10-feet-square backyard in the Leeds inner city. I put the seeds in a tiny tub, but it grew like a Roald Dahl story until it took over the whole yard, then one day the sun shone extra hard and 100 flowers all went "Pop!". It was amazing, so I wrote a song for it.
So the simplest things can inspire some amazing creative results.
The point? Creative inspiration can come from the most unexpected places, if you get bogged down with a problem stop what you're doing and take a break. Go for a walk, listen to (or make) some music, visit an art gallery, do whatever relaxes you then come back to things afresh.
