Week 7  – Colour

Colour Project

For this exercise we would like you to create four coloured grids based on the seven deadly sins. Use one separate 3 x 3 grid for each deadly sin. We're looking for your interpretation of the sins in terms of how you feel colour would best illustrate them.

You can either create the colours yourself or use a tool such as Kuler. Don't just search the words, pride, greed, envy, etc, in Kuler and use what you find (we will be checking) create your own interpretation of them.

The attached grid can be opened in Photoshop and using the Paint Bucket Tool (G) you can fill each square with colour. Couldn't be easier!

For extra credit you might want to consider creating a colour palette for your website (or DES106 space).

When complete pop these up on your DES106 space under Week 7.

As part of your research for the week write about your own thoughts on colour and show some examples of designs, websites, posters, album covers, etc, that appeal to you.

Deadline for this one is 5.00pm on Thursday 11th November 2010
